ORBISANNOUNCES THREE-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH HOYA VISION CARE The Vision Care company joins forces with the global nonprofit to fight avoidable blindness around the world Eye care nonprofit Orbis International announced a renewed partnership with Vision Care company HOYA, which will commit its support over the next three years to improve health through vision for all. The support will focus on helping school children get access to eye care in low- to middle-income countries and on training eye care professionals around the world through Cybersight, Orbis’s award-winning telemedicine and e-learning platform. Over the next three years, HOYA’s generous contribution will enable Orbis to screen more than 500,000 children and provide more than 15,000 eyeglasses as part of the REACH (Refractive Error Among Children) program in India. STELLA MCCARTNEY AND LENOVO RECOGNISE THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE FASHION AND DESIGN Brand Lenovo, together with fashion designer, Stella McCartney, crowned Central Saint Martins’ MA Design Ceramics, Furniture or Jewelry student, Peter Nasielski, the overall winner of their sustainable design competition for his innovative eyewear design, made from regenerative algae seaweed. The winning design was revealed at an event held at Stella McCartney’s Old Bond Street store, attended by industry friends, as well as Central Saint Martins students and faculty. With many remarkable creations to choose from, it was Peter Nasielski, a student from California, that most impressed Stella and the Lenovo design team. Peter’s project was inspired by regenerative farming practices, which led to the development of his eyewear design made from bioplastic material. RAYBAN CELEBRATES LOCAL AND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC AND CULTURE FOR INDIAN AUDIENCES Building on its association with Magnetic Fields Festival, Ray-Ban returned to the desert to celebrate local and contemporary music and culture for Indian audiences. Held at the dunes of Alsisar Mahal after a brief hiatus, the 3-day musical extravaganza, from 9th- 11th December 2022, gave the attendees an immersive musical experience. Ray-Ban Desert Oasis Stage and Ray-Ban Afterparty brought the finest sounds from contemporary and Indian artists.
