BEYOND BUSINESS Beyond business, Rashmikant Desai actively served the industry and society as President of the Mumbai Optical Association and a trustee of social organisations. Warm, jovial, and curious, he inspired peers and young professionals through mentorship, generosity, and a passion for learning. INDUSTRY LEGACY Founded in 1998, Fine Vision grew under Rashmikant Desai’s principled leadership into a trusted optical name. An optometry graduate, he blended rigour with business acumen, later expanding nationally with son Hardik and launching Fine Eye Care in Chembur in 2006. IN MEMORIAM A RESPECTED LEADER OF THE INDIAN OPTICAL INDUSTRY The Indian eyewear and optical community mourns the passing of Rashmikant Desai, founder of Mumbai- based Fine Vision, a respected importer and distributor of quality optical and ophthalmic equipment and instruments. He passed away on 17 November 2025, at the age of 74, leaving behind a legacy defined by integrity, leadership, and service to the profession.
