A special presentation highlighted the College’s journey, achievements, and contributions to optometry. The management and Trustees of the Optometric Education Society reaffirmed their commitment to Advancing the profession. The event also saw the unveiling of a new Lotus College logo by Dr Vivek Mendonsa and Ms Trupti Dave. The celebrations concluded with vibrant cultural performances by students, marking a memorable milestone for the institution. Lotus College of Optometry celebrates 25 years of excellence in Optometry Education Dr. Deepak Garg, and alumni Ms. Jinal Zaveri. The celebrations began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by dignitaries, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Anitha Arvind, Associate Professor at G.D. Goenka University and a founding member of the College. She encouraged young optometrists to uphold high standards in vision care. Students showcased their research and clinical cases, receiving expert feedback. Ms Shabnam Shaik and Ms Nida Khan won awards for best presentations, with a special mention for Mr Om Gawde. LOTUSCOLLEGE OFOPTOMETRY MARKS25YEARS OFEXCELLENCE L otus College of Optometry, established in 2000, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025, reaffirming its legacy in optometry education. The milestone event included the 16th Shree Naval P. Baliwalla Scientific Session on February 22, honouring the College’s founder. Over 30 scientific abstracts were received, from which six were selected for oral presentations, four for case presentations, and 14 for poster displays.
