As a family-owned business, Silhouette has already achieved carbon-neutral production through offsetting, an accomplishment that places it well ahead of many companies aiming to reach similar goals by 2030. But Silhouette’s ambitions don’t end here — the company is now aiming for zero emissions without relying on external offsets, striving to make sustainability an intrinsic part of its operations. This commitment aligns with global environmental initiatives, such as the United Nations’ "International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies," celebrated on September 7 each year. Silhouette supports this cause not only on this dedicated day but also throughout the year. Their approach goes beyond just offsetting emissions to implementing significant, lasting changes within the organisation. Over the past seven years, Silhouette has successfully halved its carbon emissions from production, a milestone validated by independent auditor TÜV Austria.
