I remember the various aromatic flavours thatheused to carry in these strips.Back thenhe wasworkingon the chewy tobacco fragrance. I rememberhowheused to giveme random strips and ask formyopinion. Iwas somesmerised.He becamemyhero. Watchingmydadwork inspiredme to get into perfumery. I loved to learn thenuances fromhim. Heused to chew tobacco and I remember smelling roses and sandalwoodwhenhe spoke tous.To this date,when I get the smell of rose, sandalwood and tobacco,mymind just goesback tomy childhood and thosehappy timeswithmydad. PJ: I think itwas in the tenth standardwhenmy dad approachedme tounderstand thedifferent aspectsofperfumery.Hemademe realise howmuch I already know about thedomainof perfumery, fragrance and flavours.Graduallyhe nudgedme topursue aprofessional course in perfumery at a reputed school inFrance.That is when I started to focus onperfumery as a career option and ever since therehasbeenno looking back. By the thirddecade,ourbusinesshad grown considerably.Wewere the leadingmanufacturers when it comes to essentialoilsmade outof rare ingredients found in theHimalayas, thedense forests and other areas in the Indian landscape.
